        After a long night spent on the Phi Phi Don island, we went to visit Phi Phi Ley. Maya Bay is one of the most popular beaches in the whole world. Do you know why? Well besides the extraordinary natural beauty, jungles, crystal clear water, it is the place where a quite famous movie with the Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed “the Beach”.  
     We spent a wonderful night in Phi Phi Don. There are a lot of young people from different countries and continents, fire shows, beach parties and hundreds of souvenir shops… But talking about the swimming, Phi Phi Ley is a better option!

For you to understand me better:
 
–       Phi Phi Don is a small island with hotels, a police station, a hospital, shops and restaurants. No cars allowed (only motorcycles for government departments).
–       Phi Phi Ley is a very small island with no hotels, no police stations, no hospitals, no buildings at all. All you can see on the island are a few wood houses and tents for tourists….


My advice for you is to visit both of them! But the option is Phi Phi Don in the night, to have fun, and Phi Phi Ley during the day, to lay in the sun and swim in the turquoise water.

A shorter trip, but not less interesting, was the one to the Krabi island. Especially to the beach where the Phra Nang cave is situated. The place is believed to be sacred, as Phra Nang blesses every woman who wants to get pregnant, for that she has to bring such a wooden “sacrifice” to the Goddess.
