Bambah dress and Swarovski bracelets (Cinderella and Candy bangles) / Swarovski rings (Vittore and Curly) / Swarovski necklace
Whether I’m spending my Spring in Japan or not, I have decided I can’t miss the opportunity to do a photo shoot with blossoms. After all, they are a pretty rare phenomenon, and I don’t want another year gone without some magical memories and an inspiration to book a trip to Japan for next April (yes, 2016, I plan in advance… Actually no, I never do, but would be useful to).
After scrolling down dozens of the prettiest Instagram profiles I follow, I have come to realise that the Far East is not the only place on the planet with beautiful blossoms. Thanks to the Instagrammers, we discovered that Regent’s Park is full of them, so we took a tour around the park during the weekend. As soon as we started walking through the rows of elegant trees covered in soft flowers, a memory ran through my mind “Crystal Gardens”. A few days earlier I got a few Swarovski pieces from the new SS2015 collection, and together with the package I received a cute postcard with that beautiful name on it. “ Crystal Gardens” I thought, “I want a blog post that would reflect that concept and I want it here”. The next thing you know I am in the park wearing the most cliche outfit you could imagine for a photo shoot with blossoms, but it’s one of those cliches that I enjoy doing, and people enjoy admiring.
The morning we photographed was quite special. It’s been a while since I’d worn something so… dreamy. The Bambah Boutique dress was the perfect choice for the surroundings, Disney inspired and covered in flowers. The jewellery though, here I decided not to exaggerate, and go for something both chic and simple. These Swarovski pieces are such perfect basics for the warm season, complementing a casual outfit, and adding that little extra to an evening elegant look. Not to mention how long I’ve been looking for a thin top finger ring that I could implement in my travelling style this summer, just like the candy bangles, which are so light and pretty to wear! In my years of blogging I’ve realised how important jewellery is, especially for a person who’s always on the go like myself. You can save yourself a lot of trouble when packing, because with the right rings and necklaces you can take the same outfit from working day to an evening elegant style, which is what I’ve been doing a lot lately.
