Here I am, writing from my apartment on rue Saint Honore, trying to get out of the ”mess” in my camera and head. I think I lost track of the number of the photos we’ve taken in this 1 and 1/2 day, somewhere in between 1,000 and 2,000… I know! Even I think that is insane, but there are so many people that you don’t really get to chose, that is why we snap everything that is “moving”.
Well in all that insanity, I somehow made a selection of the best photos, to show you the look I wore on the 29th of September, which was kind of my first day at Paris Fashion Week. I arrived yesterday at 2 p.m., changed in 10 minutes and went out to take some outfit photographs for Glamour Romania. I did the first look in 30minutes, went back to my room and changed again for the second outfit shooting for Glamour…
As I am covering this fashion week both for my blog and Main People, even if I hadn’t eaten anything for one whole day (I thought I was going to faint somewhere), I just ran to Grand Palais, where the Rochas Show was going to take place. It was a wonderful place for Street Style Photos, with no big crowds and nice people.
Some of you might think this is not a proper outfit for fashion week, but I have come to the decision that this is not an event about dressing and showing yourself from a prospective you would never want in your real life. I sometimes see how much people exagerate trying to get photographed, putting on them weird wigs, paranormal make-up or just everything they have in their closet. Yes I agree, this is the most important fashion event of a 6 month period, but simplicity and naturality is still the key to people’s soul.
So if you are foggy about my choice of the outfit, I can explain it to you. I bought these Roberto Cavalli shoes from an outlet in Italy last spring. They had had a ridiculously high price, but I bought them with a discount of 70%. So I have worn these amazing shoes only once since then, in this post HERE. In the last 8months I have gained a lot of new readers, so I am sure a lot of you haven’t seen them. Also my style has changed a lot since then, so I wanted to style them in a way I feel like now. The idea was to pull off a minimalistic sporty look with all the accent on the shoes. What do you think, did I do a good job?
wearing: Roberto Cavalli boots, Sisley trousers, Pologarage sweater, Armani coat, MOE clutch
