As much as I praise leather, life has never really granted me access to it. Well, actually that would be a lie, as the Eastern European roots call for memories of leather trenches, shoes, bags, carpets, notebooks, knives, and nearly everything else, except beautiful clothing that comes close to the fashion of the new millennium.
Yes, leather is absolutely beautiful, but I’ve never had the opportunity to acquire it, mostly because its price exceeds its charms 10 times, “Hello €4 k Saint Laurent ripped sexiness, or €3k zipped coolness“. As a big appreciator of high quality, those sky prices have always caused me frustration, while the cheaper versions annoyed me, as the price-quality ratio is not worth my attention.
But write this moment down, as finally at 20, I’m officially an owner of my first leather trousers, bought on sale (naturally!). I have a feeling this is only the start of a new, long-lasting relationship.
