How to wear a traditional embroidered blouse.

Marsaxlokk, Malta

Freshly returned from our big family trip to Malta I haven’t really had much time to adapt as I headed straight into work. The London weather isn’t really inspiring much either so all I can do is look at the pictures from our vacation while waiting for my makeup and hair to be done.
This particular look I really love because it reflects my culture and background. My mum brought me this traditional Moldovan blouse to Malta together with a traditional embroidered dress and I could not stop wearing them. But the coolest way to do that I think is to mix high end and edgy pieces with something traditional.

What do you think? Would you recreate the look?

  • Love the blouse your mom brought you! The print is beautiful and it seems to be quite comfortable. I personally would have worn it with leather sandals and perhaps a raffia/straw bag. Regardless, I think your take was quite original. Hope you had a good time in Malta with your family!

  • I love blouse! It is so special to wear something with so much history and something so personal.
Beautifully styled, I would probably wear it with flared jeans in winter and denim shorts and converse sneakers in summer.

Hello Doina, I think the blouse you are wearing is much more unique and beautiful than the one on Net a porter ! Do you know if there is any website where I could find a similar one, truly traditional ? Thanks xxx

  • Hey lovely, unfortunately I think the only way you can get one like that is to travel to Eastern Europe haha. Alternatively you could google or ebay and look for “blouse roumaine” xx

I love this look for a summer get a way, especially with the pop of colour from your fab Dior bag! I hope your holiday was amazing and that the weather here in London brightens up a bit for you too!
