All Saints dress / Paul Smith bag and furry shoes / Larsson & Jennings watch / DIY velvet choker
RECREATE MY LOOK:
On a sunny day in Paris I decided to go for a laid back outfit with a twist. The dress on its own is quite girly and simple, but the masculine furry shoes and the goth-chic choker gives it an edgy look. Now the shoes are a different story. I only discovered the Gucci ones about 2-3 months after the show last season and when I did, I wanted them straight away. However, when it comes to actually purchasing pieces I tend to go for something more basic and classy that I would be able to wear for a few years, and baring that in mind slippers with fur sticking from inside isn’t the best investment… Not to mention Daniel wouldn’t ever go out with me wearing them. You know how it happens – #ForeverAloneWithMyTrends. On the other hand these Paul Smith loafers are great for 2 reasons.
- Being full loafers with just a fluffy part on top of basically the same colour it’s pretty easy to style these shoes in more or less any outfit: skirt, dress, pants, shorts, etc.
- Even though they are flat, the few cm platform really makes a difference and puts you a bit closer to your ridiculously tall model friend… Ok maybe this is not a good example, but at least it’s what I have to go through!
Now you tell me what you think, ladies. Would you wear furry shoes? Are they already on your “To Buy” list for this Autumn, or you still can’t understand them (waving to you mum!)?
