I WAS WEARING:
Gestuz stripe suit / Mango braided rope belt / Paul Smith bag / Maurice Lacroix watch / Sartore slip-ons
RECREATE MY LOOK:
You know I love a good masculine suit, actually pretty much any kind of good looking menswear. I got this suit from Gestuz a month or 2 ago, but never really got the chance to wear it with my broken foot, travelling and then most annoying sickness. It is from the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 collection, made out of beautiful wool with a soft fitting. I can’t say I ever owned a good double-breasted suit before, so I’m quite happy to have filled that gap.
However, suits can be quite… conservative, so adding a twist or two can really push it out there and make it extremely stylish. After all, those little styling details is what makes a head-to-toe outfit personalised and unique, otherwise you risk wearing it the same way thousands of other people would (see how I personalised a full Fendi outfit here)
I’ve had this Mango braided rope belt for so many years, it came together with a red dress I bought from the brand when I was about 15-16yrs old. Oh my, when I think of it like that! But I’ve never had the chance to style it with other looks, even though it’s an awesome styling prop and can make a very classy outfit more casual and cool.
Another cool detail is this Paul Smith bag. I have bad history with crossbody bags, they’ve always reminded me of that “stepping into teenage years” stage where I would wear them with a big “the Nightmare before Christmas” print on the front *blushing*, those years… But fashion has proved to me that crossbody bags can be super stylish and elegant if made from good quality leather.
