 Believe me or not, after years of going to Paris, it was only during my last trip that I finally managed to get to Montmartre. Thoughts? Not enough time!! Being a passionate lover of Paris, I feel embarrassed by my little time spent discovering the old city. Montmartre is not just one of the Parisien arrondissements, it is a whole different world to the Haussmann empire down the hill.

You climb dozens of stairs, asking yourself “What the hell am I doing here?”, and once you finally see the horizon, all you can think about is “land!! thank you, God!!”. But then you turn your head, and have a look around you, and you see a Starbucks in a little 17th century building, and painters running their oil paint over their canvas in the middle of the street, and youngsters playing the guitar, and pantomimes walking around and making people smile, and the rooftop of the fascinating Sacre Coeur, as if the sun is shining only to amplify its glory. You suddenly realize you’re in a fairytale, and smile to the irony of this one of a kind city, Paris.
