Bangkok is a beautiful city, where a big part of Thailand’s history is concentrated. In the South part of the country, on Phuket for example, there are almost no historical places, but in the North + Bangkok, you can get a lot of that. When travelling, I am always interested in getting to know the culture, so that I can better understand the people and the reasons why everything is the way it is today.

Unfortunately, we spent only one day and a half in Bangkok, so we didn’t get to see too much. The first evening spent in Bangkok was al about walking and discovering the center of the city, including the huuuuge Central World shopping center. I tried a lot of thai food (i have no idea what I ate, but it was super delicious!!) on the street. I really liked the atmosphere of the street food-market, you have everything from fruits and smoothies to rice and chicken!
When it got dark, we went to the Bayioke Sky Hotel to get a view of the night city. It has a wonderful panoramic view from the 85th floor. It’s impressive how calm and peaceful looks the city from up there.

On the second day, we went to visit the Grand Palace of Bangkok which, guys, was utterly fascinating!! The multi-colored glass mosaic, walls decorated with Chinese porcelain in flower pattern, roofs topped with gold, sculptures of mythical animals… everything was so beautiful! I was analyzing every single detail and couldn’t stop wondering how is it possible to build something like this with bare hands.

Hope you liked the posts on Thailand, because this is the last “travelling” post 🙂

I was wearing:

Zara skirt and shirt
Yves Saint Laurent bag
Christian Dior sunglasses
Balenciaga slippers
thai umbrella bought at the Grand Palace

Have a warm autumn day!
xoxo
