A different type of selfies.

Usually when hearing the word “selfie”, your brain gives an instant image of someone taking a photo of himself on an iPhone. Well, i’m happy to tell you, guys, that self-photography can be brought to a totally different level if using the right technology and your imagination. I was more than excited to try my new Canon EOS 70 D under unusual circumstances. No tripod, no remote control, just the perfectly designed room of Sri Panwa, that has different floor levels in the bedroom; Doina running to the window and posing in time for the timer to shoot; and of course, the breathtaking view of the Andaman Sea from my villa.

    I used to take self-photographies with my Nikon long time ago. I had this strange feeling that I couln’t show a natural smile if someone stood behind the camera. It was a funny thing to do but I’m glad that now I have more confidence in myself and I don’t have to do that anymore

    Last year I spent my winter vacation in Switzerland. Alone. So I decided that to keep great memories, I had to take selfies in front of the landscape. It was a funny experience and because of that i met some great people.

  • I’ve done seflies before they were called that, but to actually take the effort to make a good picture myself, like to say, use a professional camera with a tripod, I have never done that.
