In the heart of Covent Garden, hidden in the arcades between Laduree and Pain Quotidien, surrounded by chocolate shops and street sellers offering cute handcrafts, lies one of my favourite stores in town, CARAT London. Behind the beautiful old glass door, you’ll find hundreds of sparkles, waiting to become yours.
My first thought was “I wonder how many ££££ this ring is”, as being an owner of diamonds myself, I was sure that’s what I was seeing. However, I was left speechless when I discovered the price to be a little over £200. But that’s fine, I don’t feel too bad, since everyone I’ve asked has made the same mistake, assuring me the jewellery I was wearing was covered in rivers of diamonds. Well, actually not, it’s just that we are such lame diamond connoisseurs. That made me realize I should remember this awesome “trick” for my future red carpet appearances…
Whenever I get obsessed with something (and to make it to my category of obsession it has to be a reasonable contrast between quality, aesthetics and price) I just want to share it with everyone. So after annoying my mom for two weeks with my excitement about my new discovery, then my dad and my boyfriend. It’s time to share it with you!
