Burgundy or as some say, bordeaux, has always been one of my favourites colours. Actually, I’ve never figured out what the difference is between the two shades, and if there is one. I feel like it’s just another one of those situations when people come up with stuff to sound fancy. I mean, to me bordeaux makes sense because of the wine association; but then more accurate would be to call it wine colour, since it’s pretty much what all the red wines look like (unless you’re a professional taster, obviously!), don’t you think? Then in Eastern Europe you also get the name of “rotten cherry”… emm, not so posh anymore, but still confusing!
Nevertheless, be it burgundy, bordeaux, or whatever else this colour is called in different countries, it’s certainly in the top shades for Autumn.
