Anne Demeulemeester is a very reliable brand. When we talk about the clothing of this brand, we instantly get a picture of the perfectly structured blazers. Doesn’t matter if it’s leather, cashmere or wool, the pieces are all very well-thought. I would say Anne Demeulemeester is the female incarnation of Gareth Pugh.
In her Fall-Winter 2013/14, Anna used the black and white colors as basics, and also the maxi length. On the runway we can notice the presence of those two colors used in long chiffon dresses. Though very beautiful, not everyone can wear something like that, as a piece like that takes an individual style and way of thinking. One of the interesting details that I noticed analyzing the collection are the high-waisted pants, worn with military boots.
A few trends proposed by Anne Demeulemeester for the next cold season are:
– short jackets, with one or two button rows
– long wool coats
– waisted military coats
